Darin A. Zanovich - President
Darin founded Mesa Minerals Partners LLC (“Mesa”) in October 2018 with an initial $75 million equity commitment from Quantum Energy Partners, institutional investors and management. Darin serves as the President of Mesa Minerals Partners, LLC and its wholly owned subsidiary Mesa Minerals Ark La Tex LLC which is focused on the acquisition of minerals and royalties in the Haynesville shale play.
Prior to forming Mesa, Darin most recently served on the Executive Management team as SVP of Land at Haymaker Minerals & Royalties, LLC (“Haymaker”). Haymaker successfully sold the majority of its assets in 2018 for over $405 million in cash and stock. Darin’s leadership was instrumental in building and growing Haymaker from a private equity start-up backed by Kayne Anderson and KKR into a highly profitable, market-leading enterprise with interest in over 35,000 wells and over 5 million gross acres.
Additionally, Darin has also held executive management roles with Talisman Energy and Samson Resources in his career and has over twenty-three years of experience in oil and gas operations, land and business development, as well as over fifteen years in executive management roles with various upstream companies.

Greg Balash - VP of Engineering
Greg joined Mesa in 2020 and serves as Vice President of Engineering. Greg’s responsibilities include acquisition evaluation, reserves, and portfolio management and optimization.
Prior to joining Mesa, Greg co-founded and served as President of Hyridge Energy Partners with an initial $50mm equity commitment from Denham Capital to target non-operated E&P opportunities in the Anadarko and Permian Basins.
Prior to the Hyridge Energy Partners, Greg was the Senior Acquisitions and Reservoir Engineer for Travis Peak Resources (“TPR”), an EnCap sponsored E&P company that deployed over $500 million in capital in the Anadarko and Appalachian Basins. While at TPR, Greg provided technical expertise on over 225 operated and non-operated wells while growing the leasehold position to over 90,000 net leasehold acres. In addition while at TPR, Greg championed a two-year mineral acquisition joint venture with Haymaker Minerals & Royalties focused in Grady and Canadian counties in the Anadarko Basin using an operator partnership model.
Greg previously worked within the A&D group at Scotiabank where he advised on $4bn of transactions in the Lower 48, as well as technical and business development positions at Anadarko Petroleum and Encana
Josh Wiener – VP of Land & Business Development
As Vice President of Land for Mesa, Josh manages all aspects of Land and Land Administration including acquisitions, title, PSA and all other contract negotiations.
Prior to Mesa, Josh served as Land Manager of Haymaker Minerals & Royalties, LLC (“Haymaker”). While at Haymaker, he managed a team of land professionals responsible for over 600 transactions throughout the Permian, Eagleford, SCOOP/STACK, Appalachia, Haynesville and Bakken plays. Josh also oversaw due diligence for Haymaker's land department for all major acquisitions and divestitures.
Additionally, Josh has over ten years of experience as a professional landman and has held project management roles for various private and public E&P companies throughout his career.
Mike Ferris - Engineering Advisor
Mike recently served on the Executive Management team and was the SVP of Acquisitions at Haymaker Minerals & Royalties, LLC ("Haymaker"). During his time at Haymaker, Mike evaluated multiple large mineral and royalty portfolios with properties in all major US onshore basins. He also performed technical evaluations and guided acquisition strategy on over 600 individual transactions.
Narisha Syne - Land Administration Supervisor
Narisha serves as Land Administration Supervisor for Mesa and is responsible for all aspects of land administration including lease records, division orders and primary oversight of Mesa’s land and lease database.
Prior to Mesa, Narisha served as Senior Land Tech at Haymaker Minerals & Royalties, LLC ("Haymaker"). While at Haymaker Narisha was responsible for all land administration and division order duties.
Narisha has over nine years of land and land administration experience working with both public and private E&P companies and is a member of the National Association of Division Order Analysts (NADOA).
